Words of Wisdom – Day 1

Trust

Trust in the Lord with all your heart

    and lean not on your own understanding;

in all your ways submit to him,

    and he will make your paths straight.

Proverbs 3:5-6

This scripture reminds me that there are things I don’t understand. There are other things I can’t understand. If I try to navigate life relying on my instincts, my judgement, and my feelings it won’t be long before I’m lost. When I trust in God and continue to follow His direction for my life He safely leads me to my destination. There are many things in life that don’t seem to make sense because only God has the ability to see the bigger picture. In those times I need to remember that it doesn’t have to make sense or seem fair to me. Those are the times I need to put my trust in the Lord.
